Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson star as female scam artists, one low rent and the other high class, who team up to take down the men who have wronged them.
Pam says: It definitely has its moments that, to me, were hilarious, yet at the same time it’s as predictable as it is forgettable. Both actresses are one-note wonders in this film and while the beginning touts female empowerment, the end is simply infuriating. The fact that the story goes nowhere is no fault of the leads, but of the writers. There’s nothing there but repetitive predictability. Skip this one.
Chuck says: Pedestrian, bland and lifeless, this ill-advised remake of “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” contains none of that film’s wit or charm and is dragged down by Rebel Wilson who continues to be the most unfunny person on the face of the planet. Her obvious jokes and graceless physical comedy undercuts the fine work of Anne Hathaway who goes out of her way to salvage this turkey. My lead contended for Worst Film of 2019.
