A rebellious stoner named Moondog lives life by his own rules.

Director Harmony Korine’s meandering examination of a poet who drifts through life in a drug-induced haze, getting by on his charm and the fading fame stemming from a single, well received volume of poetry. Matthew McConaughey has a great deal of fun in the title role but it’s simply not enough to sustain our interest. ¬†While the theme of the movie is that you shouldn’t sweat the small stuff – or the big stuff for that matter – in the end the movie means nothing and proves a complete waste of time.
