A homesick college freshman goes to a party at Shithouse and ends up spending the night with his sophomore RA who’s had a shitty day and wants someone to hang out with.
Chuck says:
Cooper Raiff stars, writes and directs this odd, yet engaging story of two lonely, damaged college students who are ill-prepared to deal with the emotional trauma of feeling alienated amidst a sea of their peers. Raiff and Gelula capture the awkwardness of these two teens struggling to be adults as they find themselves in situations they’re not emotionally mature enough to handle, providing the film with a painful sense of poignancy that’s rarely seen in films of this sort. Though they posture effectively, their insecurities can’t be hidden, making us sympathize with this frightened but likable couple. 3 Stars.
