The 8th entry in the “Rocky” saga focuses on Adonis Creed’s (Michael B. Jordan) attempts to become his own man, but must put a specter from his past to rest.
Chuck thinks there’s nothing surprising here and the film moves at a turgid pace, but the examination of various father/son relationships, including the surrogate arrangement between Rocky (Sylvester Stallone) nearly saves it.
Pam was bored to tears in this predictable, sluggish film which was devoid of any meaningful dialogue. Nothing could have saved this except the final bell ringing.
