This is really three movies in one as not only does it tell Gun’s story but that of reporter Martin Bright (Matt Smith) and barrister Ben Emmerson (Ralph Fiennes) as well, as the former broke Gun’s story and the later defended her in court. Though overlong, this is a vital film that speaks to the importance of telling the truth for the greater good and the power and necessity of a free press to expose it no matter what the circumstances.
