A widow (Katie Holmes) struggling to get by meets a stranger (Josh Lucas) who subscribes to a philosophy of positive thinking.

Maudlin to a fault, this shamelessly manipulative movie awkwardly puts forth its life-affirming platitudes with the subtlety of a sledgehammer. The movie should come with a warning that your eyes may fall out of your head, you’ll be rolling them so often. Far too silly to be believed, this is a film for those whose head is permanently in the stars. 1 ½ Stars. 111 minutes. Rated PG.
