Chuck says:If Fede Alvarez’s “Don’t Breathe” is the best home invasion thriller and this year’s “Becky” is the worst, “The Owners” falls somewhere in between. Director Julius Berg adapts a deliberate pace and carefully sets up the film’s premise in an intriguing and engaging manner. While the movie does overstay its welcome, it provides enough thrills to satisfy genre fans, thanks in large part to the game cast who completely buys into the premise.
