Ingredients:

1 package of Oreos

1 package Cafe du Monde Beignet Mix

1 cup (more if needed) vegetable oil

Method:

Mix Beignets according to package instructions, I used a half recipe

Roll and cut dough into squares large enough to wrap a cookie

Wrap each cookie in a square of  dough and pinch ends

Refrigerate

Heat vegetable oil in a shallow pan

Once the oil is hot (drop a piece of leftover dough in and when it bubbles, it’s ready), drop in individual wrapped cookies.

Cook and flip until each side is golden brown

Using a slotted spoon, remove from the oil and let cool on a wire rack with a paper towel

Sprinkle with powdered sugar
