Though the film sports an initially intriguing premise, it soon becomes apparent director Darren Lynn Bousman has no sense of pacing and lacks the ability to generate any suspense. While I don’t mind being in the dark where mysteries are concerned, the lack of tangible information becomes increasingly frustrating as this story does nothing but spin its wheels for much of the running time. The two leads are fine but ultimately, they’re in the service of a poorly made movie. 2 Stars. Rated R. 94 minutes.
