For two couples the future unfolds in different decades and different places, but a hidden connection will bring them together in a way no one could have predicted.

Pam says:  Unfortunately, everything about this film is quite predictable.  While it’s based upon a true story, the overall tone is that of a Hallmark movie and feels quite contrived.  As we watch the two sets of couples’ lives unfold separately, narrated by the effervescent character Chris (Jacob Elordi), it’s only a matter of time before the inevitable occurs.  Taking an unexpected and completely unnecessary twist that is placed in the middle of the film to dupe the audience is maddening, only to spin you back around to center and start again.  This story telling technique does nothing to endear us to the characters or the plot.  What saves the film is the chemistry between actors in each couple.  The sense of sincerity easily is conveyed from the screen to your heart, acknowledging the message of positivity that the film conveys.
